![]() My last vehicle had an aux input so it was my CD replacement, every CD I bought I would rip it to mp3 and put it directly on the ipod, the only CD I kept in was 1 techno CD, and trhats cos it had zero burn and thats the one thing the ipod can't replicate, the CD was just over an hour of straight music, I lost that CD since then I think its in the truck I traded in, along with my sun glasses GRRR. I certainly like the idea of being able to use my ipod again, I'm sure its screaming USE ME!! as loud as it can, its sat on my desk since I bought this car. Yea that sounds like you need a better alt, you know that'll steal hp tho I got the 'door kit' and 'speaker kit' and I have a ton of dynamat left over. Note: "door kit" should be enough to do all four doors. Dunno if this stuff does anything.but it sounds good now. Crossover needs to be mounted closer to the front of the door for the trim to go back on.Īt some point I installed a bunch of Dynamat. Pics of front doors are before spacers and incorrect placement of crossover. Nothing a little hot glue couldn't handle. I did some dremel work on the stock tweeter mounts and reused them. So a little bit of silicone and some hacked up spacers that arrived in the mail way too late.i got them in. Some people say they don't.they're smoking crack. The rear ones fit without spacers and no problems. I used Polk db6500 up front and db650 in the back. This is a little risky casue if you hurt a wire in the process, who knows what wont work. I chose to use the rubber grommet that has all the wires coming from the engine to the ECU in it. ![]() So mine come out the rubber boot, along the outside of the loom, then back into the boot. It is almost impossible to fit a wire into the rubber loom that goes from the body to the door. Run new speaker wire from the amp location, under pass seat in my case, to each of the four doors.
